Dawn of the JWST Exoplanet Era

Abstract:

JWST commenced science operations in July 2022 and is delivering amazing data for exoplanet atmospheres. This week, Dr. Jacob Bean will present a selection of the first discoveries, including results from the Early Release Science program and results from my personal projects.

Astronomy Seminars

Astronomy/Astrophysics seminars are held (roughly) weekly on Fridays at 2 pm (ET) on campus in Washington DC.

The seminar is fairly casual, and the audience is mostly astronomers, with some cosmochemists or geophysicists occasionally. The seminar will be hosted in a Hybrid format for Spring 2023.
