Meera
Putz
Meera Putz is an undergraduate student at UC Davis studying Environmental Science and Management. She is currently involved in two separate research projects on California grassland plants and how they respond to elevated CO2 with Dr. Andrew Latimer and drought with Dr. Jennifer Funk. Meera was also a naturalist intern for Grassroots Ecology, a restoration non-profit. Meera’s research interests are broadly human-environmental interactions, with an emphasis on restoration ecology, forestry, and native-invasive species interactions. She is also passionate about California native plants and environmental education and is co-president of a student-run native plant restoration club, the Rewilding Society, at UC Davis. Meera is excited to join the Dukes Lab this summer as an intern.
