The Proposal Submission System is your gateway to requesting observing time on the Magellan Baade and Clay telescopes, as well as the Swope telescope, at Las Campanas Observatory. Each semester, Carnegie researchers and collaborators can submit proposals for scheduled observing nights, access instrumentation details, and plan their scientific campaigns.
Whether you're observing in person under the Chilean sky or remotely from afar, this system offers everything you need—from proposal guidelines and calendars to instrument specs and travel policies. Be sure to register early, read the call for proposals thoroughly, and reach out to instrument PIs if you’re planning to use specialized equipment.
