Stefan Lachowycz, a postdoctoral Fulbright Scholar at DTM, will give a talk titled "Temporal variability of arc volcanism: records and controls" at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017, in the Greenewalt Auditorium as part of DTM's Weekly Seminar Series.
Lachowycz received his Ph.D. in Earth sciences from the University of Oxford in 2016. At DTM, he is investigating the prevalence and causes of (sub-)annual-scale changes in volcanic activity by statistical analysis of a variety of time-series from monitoring of diverse active volcanoes.
Coffee, tea, and a continental breakfast will be served before the lecture at 10:30 a.m.
