Alicia

Wongel

Alicia is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Global Ecology at Carnegie Science at Stanford. Her main research interests lie in investigating big picture questions and relations by modeling energy scenarios to facilitate the transition to a zero-emissions energy system. She strongly believes that multidisciplinary and diverse teams are invaluable in addressing the complex climate and energy challenges that we face.

Alicia obtained her doctorate degree in particle physics and explored some of nature's deepest mysteries at the smallest scales. While she enjoyed trying to further understand the basic underlying principles of the universe, she is now excited about applying the skills she has acquired to contribute to a transformation towards a clean energy future.
