Over the course of the last decade as a graduate student and postdoc, I developed an approach to studying drugs called evolutionary pharmacology. Last year I left academia in the face of postdocalypse and declared scientific independence. My new journey includes forays into tweeting, blogging, crowdfunding, consulting, and culminates in my founding a mission-driven biotech startup called Perlstein Lab, which is focused on orphan disease drug discovery and located in San Francisco's newest biotech incubator called QB3@953
