Richard Palin, assistant professor at the Colorado School of Mines' Department of Geology and Geological Engineering, will give a talk titled “Metamorphic consequences of secular cooling of the Earth” at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017, in the Greenewalt Auditorium as part of DTM's Weekly Seminar Series.

Palin received his Ph.D. from the University of Oxford in 2013. He is principally a metamorphic petrologist, but frequently integrates geochemistry, isotope geochronology, and structural geology into his work.

Coffee, tea, and a continental breakfast will be served before the lecture at 10:30 a.m.
