My name is Pietro, and I will be working with Prof. Michalak on the Lake Erie Project over the next year. I was born to Italian parents and raised in Paris, France, where I studied Environmental Engineering and Physics with a focus on Fluid Mechanics and Energy. Recently, I completed a 4-month research internship in Montreal, where I explored turbulent flows in Standing Column Wells. I am currently a first-year graduate student in Stanford's Civil & Environmental Engineering Department, which is enabling me to deepen my expertise in Atmosphere and Energy topics. I’m excited to bring this knowledge to the project! Outside of work, I enjoy playing rugby and hiking. As this is my first time in the U.S., I’m especially looking forward to discovering its nature and breathtaking landscapes.
