Nicolle has a Bachelor of Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), Brazil, and is involved with plant protein expression in a bacterial system while associated with several scientific initiation projects supported by the Brazilian Federal Government. Master's degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the same institution focusing on plant gene expression in response to abiotic and biotic stresses. Performed techniques such as microorganism cultivation, bacterial transformation, cloning, PCR, DNA and RNA extraction, electrophoresis, sequencing, SDS-PAGE, and protein purification. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in Genetics and Molecular Biology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil, and I am working with protein modeling and molecular dynamics simulations, RT-qPCR, RNA-seq, transformation of embryogenic rice calli and Arabidopsis. Besides, I performed some administrative activities regarding environmental control for the Brazilian State government for a short period.
