Carlino
Angelo Carlino has been a postdoctoral fellow in Ken Caldeira’s lab since April 2023. His research focuses on decision-making support for climate and energy policy. In particular, he is interested in examining the predictive skill of experience curves for forecasting technological progress, as well as applying decision-making under uncertainty methods for energy system and integrated assessment modeling.
He earned his BSc and MSc in Environmental Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. He obtained his PhD in Information Technology in 2022 from the same institution with a dissertation titled “Decision-making under uncertainty for complex socio-environmental systems”. After his PhD, he was a visiting scholar at the Natural Capital Project at Stanford University until March 2023.
