Subduction zones are home to some of the world's most explosive volcanoes and regulate elemental cycling from Earth's surface to its interior. In this talk, Dr. Andrea Goltz will share her previous work studying processes occurring within the mantle and transcrustal magma system beneath arc volcanoes. Dr. Goltz will also discuss future work creating a machine-learning-based tool to calculate the conditions of magma storage at arc volcanoes.
