Tony DiGiorgio, an Information Technology executive with over 25 years of experience, has been a strategic leader for Carnegie Science's digital transformation since 2016. His initiatives have been instrumental in modernizing Carnegie's infrastructure and administrative operations.
Tony is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the Wharton Business School executive leadership certificate program at Penn.
Tony led the establishment of Carnegie's first enterprise IT organization, bringing together IT staff to support the growth of Carnegie's division IT services, security practices, and solution alignment, along with promoting professional development for staffing and realizing efficiencies in overall technology spending.
As a member of the Carnegie Scientific Computational Committee, Tony's leadership has been critical to transforming computational research resources at the divisions and through our partnering institution, Caltech.
Tony's unwavering belief is that IT is not just a service provider but an integral organizational partner that operates hand-in-hand with scientific and operations teams to provide technology solution guidance, best practices, and proven methods for project and organizational change management to support new transformative ways of working.
Tony's lasting goal for Carnegie IT is to usher in a new generation of technological tools to empower research growth and streamline the business of science.
