Syed Zaber joined Carnegie Institution for Science in March 2020. His primary responsibilities include proposal preparation and ensuring submissions of federal and privately sponsored grants.

Before Carnegie Institution for Science, Syed spent a few years as a Staff Accountant at Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. He was responsible for private grants management and the higher education scholarship cycle. Syed also worked as a Senior Grants Accountant at Freedom House, managing USAID, the Department of State, the European Union, and other private foundation grants. Syed completed his Bachelor’s from Indiana University in Accounting & Finance. He now lives with his family in Maryland.
