Sierra Grant is an astronomer focused on the disks of gas and dust around young stars that are the birthplaces of exoplanets. She is particularly interested in the chemical makeup and structure of the inner, terrestrial planet-forming regions. This is largely done using infrared spectroscopy, both from the ground and from space. Currently, she is using data from the James Webb Space Telescope to study inner disk chemistry around a diverse range of hosts.
