JordanShe/Her
Michelle Jordan manages the Geochemistry Laboratory at the Earth and Planets Laboratory.
She maintains the clean wet chemistry laboratories and trains and mentors new lab users and postdocs. Her previous research experiences involved developing chemical techniques used to measure the isotopic and elemental compositions of rocky materials by ICP-MS or TIMS. During her undergraduate education, Jordan worked to develop a method to date detrital garnets using Sm-Nd geochronology.
She earned a Ph.D. in geochemistry at UCLA, where she measured stable isotopic compositions of meteorites and their components to understand the formation and evolution of terrestrial planets.
