The 15th Annual AGU Alumni reception was held at the Adler Planetarium from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Sunday, December 11 in conjunction with the American Geophysical Union’s Fall Meeting in Chicago, IL,  

In years past, this highly anticipated informal gathering has brought together scientists and friends with ties to the Earth and Planets Laboratory and the Biosphere Sciences and Engineering Division for an evening of celebration and friendship before their busy week at AGU events kicks off.

2022 was no different! 

After drinks and some excellent bites, Carnegie President Eric Isaacs welcomed the crowd, followed by an update from Director Mike Walter, who recounted the highlights of his exciting first year as director of the Earth and Planets Laboratory.

The evening peaked with a private planetarium show led by Adler Planetarium staff, followed by themed desserts.
