Join us for a night of science-themed fun and games at Caveat NYC!

Carnegie Science, one of the world’s most renowned scientific research institutions, will host a social on Monday, March 23, at Caveat NYC on the Lower East Side.

The program brings together science, comedy, storytelling, and public engagement in a fun, informal atmosphere designed to spark curiosity and build a nerdy community. Guests will hear directly from two of Carnegie Science’s top planetary scientists.

Carnegie Science Social: Mission Matchmaker is an interactive game where space exploration meets the thrill of discovery. Part The Dating Game, part Choose Your Own Adventure, this audience-driven experience puts contestants in charge of designing a space mission...before they know exactly where they're going.

Here’s the twist: the target stays anonymous.

Contestants will choose between two secret celestial candidates by asking smart questions, weighing clues, and trusting their instincts.

Is your perfect match a moon? A planet? An asteroid? Or something even more exotic?

Make your selections. Commit to a mission.

Then reveal your cosmic match and see how well you chose.

Mission Matchmaker is playful and packed with real planetary science—proving that both in dating and in space exploration, the questions you ask are as important as the answers you get.

Whether you are a science enthusiast or just looking for a good time, this event is perfect for anyone who enjoys a mix of learning and laughter. Don't miss out on this opportunity to socialize, have fun, and maybe even take home some cool science-themed gifts.

See you there!

*Participation in the contest is voluntary—spectating is just as fun.
