At Carnegie Science, we believe a collaborative and collegiate approach to research is essential to scientific excellence.

Many of our most exciting discoveries can be traced to spontaneous interactions between our researchers and the collegial environment fostered by our administrative and technical staff. Together, our community is a crucible of bold ideas, creative solutions, and transformational discoveries.

Our Carnegie Science research campuses have vibrant, lively communities where scientists exchange ideas, and employees from every job cohort take advantage of ample professional growth opportunities, develop mentoring relationships, and enthusiastically engage in just-for-fun activities ranging from soccer tournaments to cookie-decorating extravaganzas and from nature hikes to baseball nights.

Policies

We continue to carefully review all of our policies and procedures to ensure that they follow best practices. A new code of conduct and an anti-bullying policy have been introduced to help create a more welcoming culture for all.

Ombuds

This ombuds program empowers employees by providing them with a confidential and trusted way to report problems, receive professional guidance, and enhance workplace culture.

Mentoring

Carnegie Science has partnered with a Ph.D.-level expert in mentoring and career development to support new and ongoing efforts in mentoring members of our community across all career stages and functional areas.
