Seal
Dylan Seal is a geochemist who applies radiogenic isotope systematics (e.g., Sm-Nd, Rb-Sr) to high-temperature igneous and metamorphic systems. His research integrates petrology, thermodynamic modeling, and high-precision geochronology to investigate the timing and rates of geological processes. His research interests span martian planetary geology, igneous and mantle processes, metamorphism, and critical mineral deposit formation.
At EPL, he works alongside Andrea Giuliani to investigate the petrogenesis of rare earth element-bearing carbonatite-alkaline igneous complexes, and non-traditional stable isotopes. Dylan obtained his Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Boston College (2026) and his B.S. in Geological Sciences from Indiana University (2021).
