Laura
Leventhal
Laura earned her BA in Biology from the College of Wooster and completed an undergraduate research thesis examining pollen movement in different spatial aggregations at different points in time in Brassica rapa. Since graduating, Laura has done research for the Chicago Botanic Gardens, the Bureau of Land Management, and the National Park Service. She has also worked for the Schmitt, Gremer, Strauss, and Maloof labs at UC Davis, where she keyed in on her interest in evolutionary ecology. She is excited about studying plant adaptations to climate change and is particularly fascinated by the complicated pressures faced by a species at their range limit. At Moi Lab, Laura is hoping to learn more about genetic tools and a global approach to evolutionary ecology.
