Morgan
Saidel
Morgan Saidel studies planets around other stars that are losing their atmospheres to space, using telescopes like Keck and Palomar’s 200-inch Hale Telescope to catch helium streaming off gas giants and “super-puff” worlds. She earned her PhD in planetary science from Caltech, where she was an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, after a bachelor’s in physics with an astronomy concentration from the University of New Hampshire, and joins the Carnegie Observatories as a postdoctoral fellow.
