Aliza
Beverage
Aliza Beverage studies the formation and evolution of galaxies across cosmic time. She is particularly interested in understanding how the universe's most massive galaxies form, why they stop forming stars, and how they continue to grow as the universe ages. Aliza approaches these questions through the lens of chemical evolution. Each element is forged by distinct nucleosynthetic processes that unfold on different timelines. By reading the elements as a "cosmic clock," she pieces together the formation of early galaxies.
