Named and Endowed Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in viewing the opportunities to endow scientific staff positions, instrumentation, and other infrastructure at the Carnegie Institution.

Endowing a Directorship —
The Carnegie Institution selects individuals with distinguished scientific backgrounds as its departmental directors. They establish the vision for their departments, recruit the most brilliant and promising investigators, and carry out their own scientific research. To invest in this scientific leadership, you can endow a directorship for $5 million.

Naming opportunities are still available for endowed directorships at
• The Geophysical Laboratory
• The Department of Terrestrial Magnetism
• The Department of Embryology
• The Department of Plant Biology
• The Department of Global Ecology

Various other, new and existing, scientific staff positions are also available for endowments, as are instrument requirements and related facilities at the departments. For more information contact
