Promoting Scientific Advancement through Social Networking

Over the past two weeks, I've put much of my efforts into researching the social networking penetration of different nonprofit institutions and how the Carnegie Institution for Science can use social networking to push the latest scientific breakthroughs to those who are interested.

Social networking is often centered around a younger audience, which is fantastic. The primary drive behind future scientific advancement lies in motivating younger generations to pursue science. In order to promote a true desire for the sciences in the up-and-coming generations of modern students and working professionals, it's best to take science to them rather than to wait and see if they come to us.

Inaugural blog post: Why social networking?

Good friday to everyone! My name is Bryant Zadegan. I'm one of the Information Technology interns here at the Carnegie Institution for Science. My goal during my time with the Carnegie Institution for the semester will be to expand CIW's presence on various social platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube (to name a few). I'll be posting routine updates to this blog as the project progresses.
